got the ls1, 01 trans am 94k miles had it a week, has the piston slap but it seems to continue when warm, does not affect driving, good oil pressure and temp, but will throw you to the back seat with ease. The sound does get quiter when warm and when its like 80+ outside its like 100% gone i think, or really quite. BUT i put a large ratchet attactment around to make a stereoscopic basically, to me the sound is either the front 2 cylinders or on the accessory line. Any possibilities other then regular piston slap, maybe valve tap? i will get video later today.
