55k miles out of an 01, made 400whp on dynojet. Has full double spring kit when cam was installed by mike at rapid. I was thinking 3000 but didn't want it to sit forever while I try to sell it. Thanks for the reply though

Look what there selling for local. Some places its reallllllly hard to find a used running LS1 you can get in a few days. Someone looking for replacement motor to swap in over there blow up one, is going to have a hard time, thats why junkyard get that they get for a GTO or Fbody LS1. When you can buy a new GM replacement LS6 for a cady for SDPC (people dont want to or know about changing over parts) for the same price they get for a 70K stock 99 camaro LS1. There not many good running LS1 engines around, local I can get LS2s and LS3 easier then looking for a used LS1. There alot more of those cars getting crashed and parted out then OLD LS1 cars.
Not everyone whats to build a new motor from scratch with forged internals. A guy looking for one stock to swap as his 1st LS motor, or somone needing a motor to drive to school or work. So you can't compare what it cost you to rebuild you 3.90x bore LS1 over a few weeks, or months.
