Hey all, it seems to be the cool thing to post up new daily drivers. I picked this up and have it at my condo in las vegas. It's a 135i with 6speed, sport package, premium package and comfort access. Over all a nice nimble fun car that I hope to get out to the track a couple times this year. Now for what you all came for, car pics!!! It's like porn to a gearhead. Since I bought it privately and reg'd the car in Nevada I didn't have to pay a dime of sales tax. woot!

Looks great, I bet it's fun to drive. Cool to see a manual 6speed :) I thought they were only offering those semiautomatics now.

Nice. I've got my eye on a '07 Z4 M Coupe.

Should be a pretty comfy little ride for a DD. Looks great - hope it works out for you.

I'm starting to lean toward a Porsche Cayman S for my next DD. Plenty of time to change my mind though.

Nice! So that's your "Vegas" car? Looks like you're living the dream, man!

I usually like everything from BMW except the typical drivers, but the 1-series just looks lumpy to me. While it's not off-putting, it's just sort of "meh". I'm sure it's a blast to drive though!

I work out here and just makes sense to have a car instead of doing rentals every week.

I thought that initially. I really don't care much for the side skirts on it, but the car grew on me more and more. Plus all of my mods can carry over from my sedan to this coupe. I got the car so I can do some track day HPDE's, but if that doesn't win me over then I'm doing a single turbo conversion that is nearing completion from Vishnu Tuning.

Out of curiosity, what do you do for a living?

Project management and implementation consulting for physician groups setting up and rolling out electronic health record systems. I've been on a project here for 2 years in Las Vegas.

Sounds like it can be a fun job. Health care and oil - those are the industries paying the good money in this country. I'm trying to jump over to Health Care myself.

Anyway, nice "beater."

There is alot of work out there to be done. I've been in the industry for about 11 years now. It's not the hardest work by any means, but does require flexibility and travel. I like what I do, but wouldn't mind being home more often for my son. It sounds like alot of fun to live in Vegas, but without friends, family, and my girlfriend out here it can be a drag.

I'm a CPA, so me transitioning into those fields isn't the same as others. I'd likely be sitting in an office with minimal travel running financial analysis, as opposed to what you do. I just acknowledge that the money is in those industries, and if I want to "get paid," I need to make a move.

Anyway, I'll stop derailing your thread.

My father picked up a 128 not too long ago. Very nice car to drive. Only complaint is the lack of a functional OD

Being as you've owned both, how do you like it compared to the 3 series? Ive been entertaining the idea of picking up a turbo BMW as a daily driver in a few years after I graduate school. I like the idea of a small lightweight car (more responsive to mods), but a larger 3 series seems like a better choice for dd duties. Nice car man either way :thumb:

You'll want to test drive them both. My sedan is an auto awd car that weighs 3850lbs and doesn't have a sport package whereas the 135i is much lighter, more nimble and sporty over all. I like them both but for different reasons of course. My recommendation is the 335i coupe with sport package and 6speed. Best of both worlds and it's only 100ish lbs more than a comparable 135i but with far more creature comfort and room.

That looks really good, that dark tint looks sick on there too

My neighbor has a black 135i one just like that, I think it's a really cool car. However, i can't wrap my brain around the maintenance costs for BMW's and other high end euro cars. But, I guess that's just how it is when you drive a premium car.
