Last time out I ran a best of 9.157 (2.096 60') and an equally close 9.194 (2.104 60'). All runs previously were made with JUST a K&N air filter. This time out I will have removed my spare and jack. The car is on new BFGoodrich 235/55/16 Traction T/A tires and seems to hook pretty good (little to no spin) on the street.

Last time out DA was 2,100ft and 94% relative density. It's supposed to be 5-10 degrees cooler this Friday than my last runs so hopefully weather alone will put me in the 8s. I was leaving the line fully stalled (about 1,700RPM) whereas this time I will leave from idle.

Any ideas or suggestions to help me run 8.8s?

Remove seats.. Remove front sway bar.

3600 stall torque converter
Sticky Tires (ET Street Radials)
100 shot of nitrous.

Those 3 mods will get you in the bottom 11's. A 150 shot will probably put you in the 10's. Exhaust mods after that will help substantially..

While I appreciate the response I wasn't asking for a mod list, with all due respect. I wanted to know if any more-seasoned drag racers had anything to add to what I should do to accomplish 8.8s or thereabouts without removing the entire interior/going full bolt-on. I only have until Friday anyway, and keep in mind my car is a weekend bruiser that does get the back seats used.

Don't he afraid to try different launch rpms and see how your car reacts to each. Make sure you give your car plenty of time to cool in between runs. You may hit 8.9s if the weather is considerably better.
