T56 master cylinder to stock pedal question?
I bought a stock Fbody Clutch master cylinder, and the bracket for it that bolts to the brake master cylinder studs, and ordered a stock clutch pedal for my year nova (1972) when I get the pedal installed should the rod on the clutch master cylinder match up to the pedal correctly, or will I have to modify one or the other?

You will most likely have to modify it... check the FAQ for the f-body build, it show you what you might need to do. The Master should have a travel of just under 1" (0.9" - 1.0"). See the bottom of post #1 of the thread (from the FAQ).

What i did on my Chevelle was cut the tab off position it and held it in place with a vise grip. then with the Slave in place and connected. I check the travel, if not correct, adjusted it and checked it again. If you finally get it in the right spot. then take it off and weld it up.. !

Today I installed the oem pedal. why does everybody change the pedal and not just section out the rod? The way I see it I just need to take 2 inches out of the middle and weld the bushing end back on . Thoughts?
