I got to the car show in this plaza and saw a bunch of cop cars and fire trucks and what not. turns out some 88 year old woman mistook the gas for the brake and drove into an italian restaurant. she was ok but the car and the front of the store weren't. i snapped some pics that ended up on the 5 o'clock news because they towed the car out before the NBC crew got there. here's a video of the news plus the pics i took. they actually interviewed me but that didn't make the news.

Don't know why any business does not have the concrete poles where the cars park so this never happens.

Same thing happened at my old job about 3 years ago. Was an old retired guy who "swore" he thought he had his car in reverse instead of drive. In my opinion once you hit a certain age you should be required to retake your drivers test. Hope no one was hurt.

Are drive ins welcome?
Old man did the same thing at dollar general where I used to live... He jumped the concrete stops and went through the glass and stopped at the register.

A grade school teacher of mine had her husband die when something like this happened. Car pushed him through a plate glass window.

Over 65, every year you should prove this. Maybe every two years. Yea, some older folk are fine at driving (one of my old co workers was a SCCA racer in his S2K), but the majority....yea, I feel just as unsafe next to them as next to a 16 year old girl texting at a light.
OP, why do you keep putting random V's in your subjects?

Discount Den at Purdue had this happen like twice in 3 years while I was at school there... Threw some tarps over the hole and kept on selling their Den Pops.

It's either a 2 foot driver which I can't stand, or simply not paying a lick of attention.
