I am seriously considering on running an alky setup on the 68 drag car. I will be running a scirocco VW radiator. I am worried that I will be running hot on gas and ethanol is easier to source in my area than gas. It will need to support my 388ci (http://ls1tech.com/forums/lt1-lt4-modifications/1483473-ran-spare-385ci-lt1-engine-dyno-today-stock-heads.html), what carbs are you guys running?

I don't think that radiator will run hot fwiw, I have one that's a good bit smaller then one of those and it's going to cool a low deck bbc fwiw.
I would call pro systems for a carb though, they should be able to get you one setup for what you want to do, and at least have it in the ballpark.
Is the motor set up to run alcohol, ring gap wise, etc? And I'm sure someone has already said something to you, but the oil needs alot better maintenance program as well due to the amount of fuel that gets in it. Alcohol isn't legal for all classes too, which may or may not be an issue.

Going to?
That answer leads me to believe that you haven't accually accomplished cooling your engine with that radiator.

Had a gasoline 68 Nova with a VW radiator. I could make rounds all day long with no heat problems. I also used the original fan, shroud and rubber flapper system.
My BBC is 489 inches and runs a rather small Afco radiator. never gets hot on Alcohol, does on gasoline. Runs about .3 slower on race gas.

Contact John Kyle at APD carbs in NW Ohio. His shit works period! Used his carb and belt driven pump for 6 years without a hiccup. Chuck

Thanks for the replies, the vw radiator was ran on a 540BBC on alky it never got hot. I know i have to change the oil more. I'm jusy running the lt1 to get this frame setup and to go to the shootout, after that I'm going bbc and never looking back.

Can I get a Rons flying toilet to run on the SBC? I know the BBC will run it, I'm pretty sure it will be a bit much on the small motor, I don't want to buy one and turn right back around and buy another.

That is correct I have not. It's the same radiator Tom Kemph used to cool the turbo lsx in his white car (actual radiator I bought it from him), guy that's doing the cage over has used the exact same radiator and pump (right from the Meziere catalog) on 3 different bbc cars, 2 n/a and one nitrous, and his own turbo car and has had no issues with cooling.
The 3000 cfm fan and shroud, will help alot with it as well as being able to leave the pump running, fan on when the engine is not. I don't plan on running it any more then I absolutley have to, I'll tow it as much as I can within the class limitations.

I have seen a toliet setup on a small block car a few times... only thing that may be different is the 4150 vs 4500, I'm sure they can set you up with the whole thing and maybe just have to change to a 4500 when you put the bigger motor in, etc.

I'm going to run at lest the 4" flying toilet on the BBC, I know it could work on the LT1 with a bit of tuning. I'm just not trying to run the LT1 hot if I run it on gas.

I just put a Terminator setup on my LT1 this season. It ran 10.20's with a carb on gas. I am very interested to see how much it picks up.
There are many small blocks around here on Ron's Fuel Systems. As long as they are set up for the motor they will run just fine.
If you are interested in a injected system I would call James Monroe at KillerRons. He is the best. He gives extremely good customer service and will get you pointed in the right direction.
