ORY pipe hitting tq arm, how much space do i need?
I installed my Pacesetter headers and ORY pipe a couple of weeks ago, and I'm having problems with the ORY banging on several spots, like the floorboard, TQ arm etc. So I took it to my dads work shop and used a arbor press and squished one side of the Y pipe, everything has great clearance except the tq arm. My question is how much room do I need between the tq arm and my Y pipe? I managed to get enough room between the two to fit my finger in however that's still not enough. Your help is greatly appreciated.

your finger should be good enough. was the rear hanging when you checked it?
or was the car flat and suspension compressed?
if the rear was hanging, that width (finger width) should be good enough.
also, you may want to get a poly tranny mount; they will limit the amount you exhaust shifts when the motor torques over, and will lessen y pipe banging. it cured mine. good luck.

Rear end was on jacks and the front was on ramps, I still get banging when it's all together, so i'm going back to my dads shop to compress it more. How hard is it to install a poly tranny mount? and whats the est. cost?
Thanks
