Default H/C with D1SC questions

I currently have PRC 2.5 LS6 heads milled .020" with a 231/234 .643"/.598" cam @ 10:6 compression. Made 442hp on mustang dyno. It's a very fun street car but I can see myself wanting more down the road probably in a few years but would like to start planning it now. I'd really prefer to keep it around 550 - 575rwhp.

- Are my heads ok for a D1SC kit?
- I'm guessing the cam would have to be swapped out?
- I'll be getting MWC 9" probably next year, are 4:11's still ok?
- Is the Ractronix F99 hotwire kit suitable?
- Will I need bigger injectors than 42lb?
- Will I have to do any internal work to handle the HP?

Any other opinions/suggestions welcome....Thanks!

I would switch to stock 317s ad use that money for something else.
Cam would work but you would gain with a am more geared towards a blower.
60# injectors would be close.
Bottom end could last 65k miles or go out the fist WOT run you do.

Thought about ditching the heads but if their not a detriment or would actually help then I'll just leave them.

The setup is fine. I just do the D1 at 10-12lbs and add a methenol system. We put blowers on alot of H/C cars like yours, recently an 01 Vette with AFR's (11.2-1) and a 228 cam. 10lbs made 650rwhp with methenol.

If you have a decent tuner there is ussually no issues.

Yeah i think you will be fine as long as you keep things on the safe side,i have seen alot of setups that you wouldnt think it would do well with a procharger but they do,my set up isnt the best for boost but i plan keeping things on the safe side untill i can change some things

def ditch the cam. boost likes longer gears. 342's or at most 373's is my best guess. those heads are fine, but 317's are indeed gunna outflow them. you could sell em and get some 317's dirt cheap and put the money towards fuel. do at least some head studs and gaskets.....and a safe tune, if you have the ls6 intake unblock the steam vents in the back. its always a gamble on stockers but some have lived. vengeance racing did 800+ rwhp with a rearmount on his c5 ls1. temps and tune are crucial.

I actually have the stock heads in my basement if they would work better. Just figured LS6 heads would help since the compression is up a bit. But I am new to boost.

Thanks! Not too bad for a budget build.

So some say cam is ok with a good tune, some say to switch.
