I am just throwing together a lq4 for my 95 mustang th400 brake 5500 converter and 4:10s looking for a decent setup till i build my 408 was wondering what would be a good shaft top use for that set up just for now dont care about street manners lope or drivability. i know it will be lower compression but i am hoping the converter will let it come up top for decent power. i would also like to use this cam later in the 408 build I realize it may not be ideal for the 364 any suggestions or is there a better carb application cam shaft available.

Will work bad ass, too small for a 408 if you want to get the most from that many cubes.

Your piston to valve clearance with a lq4 will probably be fine as well.

I run a tsunami on a cam only lq9. Even with flat tops there is no ptv clearance issues. Makes good power and has a wide power range. I run it with a 4k stall and 4.30s.

Evans. What chassis are you running. Any time slips?

It is an 84 cutlass. Best time to date has been a 7.35 @96 with a 1.61 60

correction on the time. New best tonight of 7.07 at 97 1/8th and 11.17 at 119 all motor pass. Sprayed it a 150 and it went 6.58 at 107 and 10.37 at 120 on the rev limiter.
