I am looking for a DIS Ignition kit for an L-98 engine. I do not want a waste-spark system but a true coil near plug.

Thanks

Here you go. Gets rid of the chip style pcm also.

Silver Bullet,

Thanks for the reply.

I looked @ this system and it looks very nice for the LT-1 but a little crude for the L-98 as I have to leave the old dist in place.

I am looking for a more compact system.

Thanks

I don't know if you are going to find one.

You have to get cam signal from somewhere and LT cars its in the opti, on L98 cars its on the dist.

I could care less about the dist being back there. I like the tunability of a flash style pcm. Thats the reason with going with this style system, so you can just bring it to one of your local tuners or tune it yourself with HPT.

All in all what I'm trying to say is that the good on this outweighs the bad.

Silverbullet,

Thanks again but I have seen a couple of systems that have the ECM incorporated into the top of a distributor housing with the coil harnesses coming out the side.

They use the same technology that AEM, Mallory, and a couple of others use with there EPM (Engine Position Module) were they pick up both cam & crank signal in the distributor housing for there EFI systems.

Unfortunately I cannot find the companies.

Thanks again

That's almost like the turbo regals of the 80's. The AEM EPM might be compatible with the EFI connection setup.

eficonnection does an ls style which is great and quite tunable, and there was a company(cant remember) using the grand prix/gtp) small coil packs for the wires/plugs.. i think the LS one is awesome, it combines the old school reliabilty/power capability of a gen 1 sbc and the tuning of these new school ones.. 1 2 punch imo.

MSD "used" to make a CPC sytems for SBC. I think it has been discontinued. May want to call and ask them.

I think the company you are talking about is Delteq. They used the Cadillac ignition module for the v8 engines.
