PCM 9354896 or 12200411?
I am putting a 2004 LM7 5.3L engine with these parts from a 2000 Trans Am WS6: exhaust manifolds, intake, MAS and DBcable throttle body, and Bocsh/oem 0280155931 injectors, into a 1970 Chevelle with TH350 transmission and 2.73 rear gears.
(4L60e will come next year, and rear gear change to 3.42 because of my 26 inch tires)
Which PCM do I need to purchase 9354896 or 12200411?
There is a big difference in cost, but why?
Thank you,

411 is both Drive By Cable and Drive By Wire. Will work for both.
896 is a rarer bird only used in 99 I believe, someone corrrect me if I am wrong please? Not sure why it would be more expensive. We use 411 for pretty much all of our DBW or DBC applications (unless it calls for a Green/Blue).

Go with the 411, using it on my 02 LQ9 DBW. Also works well with auto or manual trans.
Note that the tune and harness will vary with truck vs car setup. Make sure it matches.
Do yourself a favor and swap the 4L60 at the same time. Otherwise you'll be re-doing your wiring and tune over again.

Staying with TH350 in order to get this car on the road this Summer!

As stated earlier if you are planning on doing the swap to the 4l60e its going to make less work for you if you do it all at once. Will have to add all wiring for 4l60e and tune for shift points, plus will have to buy spacer for the th350 to hook up to flexplate. If you are planning on doing the swap I would try to do it upfront. But it sounds like you are wanting to just get it going so just be prepaired to do those things when you go to do the swap. Be sure to post photos of the build.

Does it matter what year or vehicle (car/truck) the 12200411 comes from?
