The stockers can hold quite a bit of power, but if you plan on spraying it or running slicks, it won't be a bad idea to upgrade.

Based on your mods, now. I have seen guys hitting 5-6 launches on slicks and you can see the studs bending. Its more like repeated launches will do the job. You just need to plan for it accordingly.

I've bent my stockers with 400whp, ls7 clutch, 5500 rpm clutch dumps, on a bia ply tire. I have 1/2" studs in there now.

12mm Arp studs here. So far no problems.

One thing I've learned running a spool (even a tight posi will do it) is to check and properly torque the lugnuts on a reguler basis.
The constant working back and forth takes it's toll.
I've seen 5/8" screw-in studs break too (other side was loose so we figured that's what happened).

Thats the key. I also use never sezze on my studs. The books tell you not to but what do they know. If you don't and change wheels often you will gall one. Just adjust you torque setting accordingly.
