Street Racing & Kill Stories - Blown and cammed 98 GT vs H/C TA And Shelby GT500

Met up with the guys. Mixture of stangs and f-bodies. Had a run with a 98 stang with a blower, cam, 410's I believe, putting down 420.


So first run we do a 60 roll. With me in 2nd and him top of 3rd. 3 honks and we take off. I start to pull away but he starts to gain his half car I put on him and we are neck to neck, soon as I hit 4th I start to creep away from him. By the top of 4th I have about little more then half car on him. His bumper is probably at my quarter panel. He shuts it since he tops out.

Second run he gets a small jump and pulls away about 1 solid car and once again when I hit 4th I start gaining ground and at the end of 4th and him topping off we shut it and I end up about to his front wheel.

Last run we honk it off and are neck to neck and once again I gain small ground with me in 4th. Ended with his bumper by my door.


Next is the Shelby GT500. Pullied tuned. I knew I was going to get walked but what the heck it's all fun.

First run I honk it off and we are off from 60. I get the hit and when I least expect it he starts pulling away, and pulling and pulling. Lol. If it would of kept going he would of probably put buses on me.

Second run I honk it off and get a really good jump. I leave him about 1 1/2 cars back but he comes around me and I start to eat the dust while he is walking away from me.

I want more power now! Haven't had my car running for long and I want more power now lol. Either way I had tons of fun. I will be posting up some vids later with the Shelby. Didn't have a passenger with the blown 98 stang but have a rear view of the run and a small one I recorded until my phone fell when I hit the gas.

I've ran em but it's not really a good match. I start to walk him easly

Nice runs! Did the 98 GT have a PI swap done on it? 420whp is a good amount for a NPI 2v with cams.

To tell you the truth I didn't even ask. So it's not possible to put down 420 with a cam and blower on a 98?

There is no way a h/c should get walked that easily by a pullied gt500.

Depends on the blower/cam combo. The NPI heads don't flow for shit unless they are ported well. I know most NPI cars with just a blower on it around 9psi barely make the 350whp mark.

I know there is some fast ones. Just stating yet hete there is none around me that are. Least that i have found.

I'm saying you should hang in there and slowly get pulled by a couple cars. Gt500 in the vid runs strong though

Well what happened happened. He is well over 130 hp over mine. He had no passenger and I did. So I was probably about 300 pounds lighter than him and 135 hp down. So I think it's about right.
