I have to replace my heads in my '04 Sierra. Im sure most of you already know why the heads would need to replaced in this year of truck (cough Castec).

Besides replacing these with non-castec heads. What are some other low cost options or best bang for the buck options?

I know of the more expensive options like Patriot, ect.

Is there anything else I should do/could do while I have the engine apart?

Let me clarify - Im not expecting anyone to do the homework - I just figured it was already done and someone could share their experiences.
