First time at track with new th400 and converter.

Was only doing 1/8 mile runs and made one full 1/4 mile pass hotlapping it I went 10.05 at 146.1 mph with a 1.71 60 foot on 17 psi, 14 degrees timing and 10.5 AFR on 114 octane. Best 1/8 mile was 6.39 at 87 mph with a 1.35 60 foot on 14 psi and 9 degrees timing and 10.1 AFR, I got on the brakes at the 330 foot mark, I thought I was at 1/8 mile. Best 1/8 mile mph was 116.89, just 3 mins later I was in the burnout box and did my 10.0 pass at only 115 mph in 1/8 mile. Hot lapping cost me a bit, dropped 1 mph in the 1/8.

With that said comparing my lower boost 330 foot time with my 10.00 pass. I should of been able to go 9.30 - 9.39 on 17 psi with a good 60 foot on low timing and pretty rich AFR. Cars coming apart for cage install on the 20th. I've been daily driving in the last week or so, doesn't do bad with the 3.08 gears and th400. Drove it to and from the track.

Car weight 3480 with out me and I weigh around 190 lbs. Not a light race car by any means. Below is the video of the 6.39 1/8 mile run, video of 1/4 mile pass coming soon.

That's some crazy mph. Better 60's and 9's won't be a problem. Did you make that pass before they told you to slow down?

He told me in tech keep it 11.5 or slower, I did a pretty good job of that but did get a 11.45 at 67 mph very hard on brakes. Then made the full pass as one of the last cars to go down the track when most of people were gone.

295/55/15, used to do 1.37 on the 275/60s, got these rims and already had the bigger ones on them.

Video update, the 10.0 pass I was just gonna abort but went ahead and tried hooking up again and it finally hooked up.

You wasted close to a second on that pass and still flew!

Right, I'm looking forward to making some full passes ramping the boost in and working my way up to 22 - 24 psi.

Why so rich?

Why so rich?

Simple...

Was tuning the car at the track, Just put the 80lb injectors in, new converter and just got the car on the road. I was only able to tune it so much with no traction on the street. So I started out rich, then walked the tune in some each pass. Then at the end I turned the boost up to 17, and since it's just a 2 Bar OS. I had to make it a little extra rich and it leans out as it made more boost.

i was about to ask the same thing... I run 10.5-10.8 on e85, and 20 degrees of timing. Your on 114 and half the timing and more boost than me.

I weighed my fbody at a pilot on the same cat scale. My ticket looks exactly like yours. 3480. I'll get a pic tommorrow. I was told that the scale were off?

Scales not off, I've had it on 3 different ones and they are guaranteed to be within 20 lbs. My car has many heavy parts on it.
