Because this is a special event there should be no extra charge to do a no time run, however it makes no sense do to that since both parties will be making runs in other classes. The red light deal is exactly how it's supposed to be, unless the one suggesting a "do over" sucks at the tree.

That's an awful lot to ask for someone who's putting in a shit ton of money into a project, then covering all event costs. I was heavily involved in the car/f-body scene from the early 90's to the early 2000's from auto cross to taking road trips to different drag strips with a very active f-body club as well as going on a power tour. Been there and done that. I'd rather take the money and put it towards a vacation. Car obligations are far down on the totem pole these days. If you don't understand that, perhaps some day you will...

So, I decided to get myself a Christmas present. A forged 383 with AI 212 heads, AI ported stock intake, AS&M monoblade and the biggest hydraulic roller cam Phil would make me (lol) and 1 7/8" primary headers with 3" true duals, x pipe and Schoenfeld race mufflers dumped before the axle. I should wind up right around 12:1 compression with my pistons and head gaskets. I also picked up a T56 and a McCloud street twin a while back. I have enough fuel system and all the other little BS stuff to handle whatever it makes and I will be burning my own proms for the stock '93 computer.

So, I figured once the new engine and trans are in I'd do a little dyno queening with the 10 bolt while I tune the new engine, before I swap in a 9 inch. Who thinks I can put down 500+ rwhp on a dynojet?

The truck has basically sat for the past 4 years neglected, and I guess the combination of driving on the beach in NC and harsh new england winters have taken its toll. Fixing this will require removing the bumper, gas tank, and hitch and finding someone with a 220V welder, or shelling out cash I dont have to have someone else fix it. :bang::bang::bang:

I think it would be a great race, you would kill me off the line with your auto but Id be running you down towards the end with my high trapping M6.

Hit another snag with the tahoe yesterday, took it for a ride and the front brakeline blew causing me to lock the rear brakes and skid into an intersection. No crash, and I limped it home. Found that the ziptie that was used to hold the rubber brake line away from the tire broke, and the tire tore the line. Just another setback. :gruffy:

On another note, I put my full interior back in to try to get up to race weight. All thats left is valvesprings and rockers and the car is ready to race.

LOL.... thank you guys... You know... My car did not make it... but we DID... and I had my pocket full of loot to make my debt..... If you watch the tower live feed...you will even see me walk out to the burnout box just before the racing began... that was where we were supposed to meet....
