Im in the stage of my project were i need to order my gauges for my ls1 mustang swap. this may seem like a stupid question but im trying to see which gauge i need to order. i have a 90 mustang, im keeping the stock tank. my sender reads 0-90ohms while the camaros is 33-240. i also read somewere that the computer can buffer the fuel level sender if reprogrammed thru a livewire or hptuners. so im lost on which gauge to order. I'm running both a sending unit and gauge that is 0-90ohms but you can do it with any combination of sending unit and fuel gauge. I am not sure if the newer PCM's will handle it but anything with the old style connectors will work through programming the PCM. I did mine with Tunercat. Cal Editor should be able to do this for you. Otherwise you need to just run the gauge directly and bypass the PCM.

are you sure you didnt get the senders mixed up ?
gm was 0-90 ohms.
and if stock mustang sender and going aftermarket gauges then just get gauge setup for the ford reading range.
and there is some now from autometer that are full programable for any ohm range .

If you are using the stock wiring in the mustang, the Yellow/white wire is the fuel sender wire coming from the rear harness. There is no reason to wire this to the GM electronics. It does not care about the fuel level. Just get the correct gauge for th Ford electronics. easy stuff!

ya im pretty sure also that ford is 33-240 and gm is 0-90 ohm.my gauge wasnt reading right and couldnt figure it out.have a gm sender and come to find out my gauge was the ford.had to buy new one.
