How to get top water pump fitting out?

How to get top water pump fitting out? I'm trying to pull the top fiting out of my water pump to put on -AN bungs. I know it's just pressed in there but I can't get it out and I'm worried about damaging the pump. Any tips or tricks to getting this thing out?

Ok got the first one out. Now what's the best way to 'press' the new on in place? I tried beating with a hammer and using a large c clamp with no luck. I have the fitting in the freezer now but not sure if that will work any better.
