Default How to drill intake for Injectors and how much torque

I have a '37 Chevy I'm putting a 5.3 LQ4 in and I'd like to put a GM single plane intake on it to make it look a bit more old school. I thought I could find one of these for sale with the injector bosses already drilled. I just started looking so maybe they come up often and I just needed to wait longer but in case I have to get one without the bosses drilled, what would I tell a machine shop to do in order to drill the holes correctly?

Do I have to give them angles? The threads would of course have to be correct. I just have no idea if I took them the manifold what I should tell them to make sure I end up with a manifold that fits. I'm looking at part# 88958675.

Also, I would like to keep as much low end torque as possible but still have one of these style manifolds for the look. Is this probably the best one I can find for low end torque. I know all the intakes like this really cater to the higher RPM range, but some more than others.

Here is what the intake looks like with no holes drilled.

Thanks,
Brandon

edelbrock sales a victor intake similar to the one in your picture with the injector bosses already cast and drilled and the single plain intakes are not the best for bottom end power also in your post you said you was installing a 5.3 lq4 it has to be one or the other because a lq4 is a 6.0

Thanks for the responses.

I don't really want to use the Victor because it's a higher intake and has an even higher RPM peak.

I didn't know the Lq4 was the 6.0. I've been calling my motor that since I've had it. What designation does the regular 5.3 truck motor have from 2003?

Thanks,
Brandon

Ross Machine sells a all in 1 bit for this.

With that intake you should not have to weld just drill

So with this intake is it as simple as drilling a hole the same size as the original ls1, running some threads and installing it?

Does it have to be any special angle inside the bosses?

Thanks,
Brandon
