Default boost with stock ecu

I'm going to trubocharge my 00 Camaro I want to know if I have to tune my car before I drive it if I'm only running 6 psi

not trying to be a dick but if you are asking this question, you shouldnt be turbocharging your car yet.. browse through here and search what comes to mind and youll learn a lot.

To answer the question, yes you need a full tune.

I've heard of a few guys drive their cars a short distance to their tuner for a tune. If that's what you're looking to do I would try and get a basic tune of similar mods from someone or maybe your tuner.

Call Frost he can set you up with a mail order base tune that will get you up and running then get it dyno tuned ASAP.

Leave the factory MAP sensor (wont detect boost) in it and dont boost it and you are fine driving around. If you put a 2-3 bar MAP for boost and dont retune it.... it wont run worth a ****.
