Hey guys i have a 355 solid roller vortec combo has a 7qt moroso pan and a 10% higher volume pump. the combination has been together for a few years . Today while testing i but at am having an oil pressure issue. Under a load when rpm goes higher than 4000 the pressure drops from 60 to 20 or under. At idle and and bringing up on stahl or just driving back to the starting line pressure is 40 and goes up from there. unly under a load does oil pressure drop!!! what is going on?

Well i pulled the engine to examine and when i got the pan off the pickup was laying in the bottom. It was a moroso bolt on pickup and the ears that bolt to the pump broke off and the pickup fell out! I checked all bearings they are still good . I got lucky!

Hi, I have exactly almost the same problem once my rpm goes over 4000 the oil just drops. Could it be from my oil pump should I buy a new one.
Someone told me it could be a Problem a worn oil pump or worn rod and main brgs. rod and main brgs I did change.
