Anybody know the inside diameter of the pilot bearing for LS1? I am getting prepared to do the clutch on my C5 and want to know if the pilot bearing puller tool that I have is going to work when I get to that point.

Not sure what the ID is, but if your puller doesn't work, just do this: http://ls1tech.com/forums/manual-transmission/1229526-how-ls1-pilot-bearing-removal-free-loaner-tools.html
Worked like a charm for me :burn:

Thanks for the quick response. I'm thinking that I may just have to do this or grind the puller to fit. I bought a cheapee puller at Harbor Freight for $12.99 so it's a low investment. I'm a newer member on this site and I really am impressed by how much traffic there is on here!

Welcome, btw! Note that the key to making the puller work in the link I posted is removing one of the arms, then inserting them into the bearing one at a time. You might be able to do this with your Harbor Freight, or just loan one from AutoZone. Loan out a slide hammer while you're there. If your bearing's original, count on that sucker being frozen and taking a big slide hammer, haha.
