I just bought a 1981 Cutlass Supreme that is in amazing condition. The owner had it painted Pearl White about 5 years ago. The two problems are, there are about 3-4 small chips that need attention(2 on the door, 1 on the adjoining quarter panel and 1 on the rear bumper) The other issue, is that he doesn't have the paint code.

So I am dealing with a mystery Pearl White paint, that has a few small(ish) blemishes. How can I fix these without getting too financially involved? And by that, I mean staying under $500.

I can get some pics later if that would help.

it will never be right , you could try and get it close , can you take a piece off , a small piece of the paint work and bring it to a body shop , but for the most part your porked .

Im pretty sure the body shop that i use has one of those computer matching systems. Will that atleast help in this case? I figured they could take one of the mirrors off or somethin and match that? I am starting to think the door and the quarter are going to have to be completely repainted, wonderful.
