Gears & Axles - how much oil in my 10 bolt

how much oil do I need for my 10 bolt I'm swapping my old 10 bolt out for one that has 500 miles on it, and changing rear diff oil.

all I did was fill it to the plug. Hope that's right.

/\ This. A little under two quarts and it'll start coming back out the fill hole.

Be sure to put friction modifier in first then instal the gear oil, generally 1.5 bottles+/- until it begins to overflow from fill plug.

Just did mine last weekend. Took just a tad over 1.5 qts.
