how much oil in my 10 bolt

how much oil do I need for my 10 bolt I'm swapping my old 10 bolt out for one that has 500 miles on it, and changing rear diff oil.

all I did was fill it to the plug. Hope that's right.

Thats as good as it gets.I think the book says like 1.75 qts

Be sure to put friction modifier in first then instal the gear oil, generally 1.5 bottles+/- until it begins to overflow from fill plug.
