I was just curious how many of you run your M6 at the strip with a stock 10-bolt and if you've had any rear-end issues. Also what gear/power? Thanks!

I broke 2 sets of 4.10's and 2 axles with the 3.90 gears. Mods/times in sig.

A buddy of mine broke one the other day. 400rwhp it broke on the 2nd pass. My bolt on car has 3 5k launches on the motive 4.10s and its louder after it. Another friend broke 2 summit 4.10s on the street. Those seen alot of rolling backwards 10mph and dumping the clutch.

Took it bone stock + SLP lid, then moved on to the 12 bolt. Fact is when you try to race it hard, it can/will break. All depends on drive and how much force is applied.

Nobody. At least not for long anyway.

I've got about 20 runs with street tires on my 10 bolt. 60' times vary from 2.00 to 2.2x, not too good but I'm sure it would blow with some sticky tires. I built it with arp carrier studs, girdle and solid spacer and it's still quiet.
I will say it's very frustrating to try and get good track times without slicks. Last time out was 13.47 @ 107.55 2.16 60'. I've got the money saved for a S60 but I can't seem to justify it for the couple times a year I go to the track. I'm kind of hoping the 10 blows then I'll need a new rear for sure. lol

Replace it while it's still good.

99% of them die right at the line, but it'd suck for it to come apart on the 1-2 or 2-3 shift.

My wife broke one when I was teaching her how to drive a stick. Lol

The one I'm on now has a few thousand miles on it and is still goin strong. Only seen street use in races in Mexico. M&H racemasters, 150 shot, dead hookin on the street. I roll off the clutch off the start, as soon as it rolls out a few feet I'm on the kit. It's still together as of now. I know it's not gonna last.

I'm making 500ish on the kit and 4.10 gears.
