Those are the only two options, factory style with just a new font and color change or completely custom. So, if you just want "one little thing" changed it is the same price as if we completely redesign the whole thing for you... So I'd get creative :) Like McNord did on his personal one...

The only real thing keeping me from doing this is what happens if/when I do an LS1 swap a couple years the future and I can't use my snazzy gauges anymore? :bomb:

Unless I can somehow get a Z28 cluster to work properly in my V6 car...

Does anyone know if that is possible? Can I use the 150mph cluster in my V6 Camaro and have everything work right? I'm not concerned about the oil PSI numbers being different, I just want to be sure the speedometer and tach will read accurately. IF that is possible then I may have to pull the trigger!

It will be off, but as long as the gas gauge isn't , it shouldn't really matter as long as you are not OCD about all gauges reading correctly. You can always use a GPS or smart phone app for accurate speed reading.

I'm saying this based on fact that v8 cars need to be calibrated to use the 200 mph speedo.

From what I've read a 155mph gauge from a 99 Z28/SS will work in my 99 V6 car, except the tach will read low (correctable with a Dakota adapter) and the speedometer will be slightly off. I've gotten conflicting info on how the temp and oil gauges will react.

Yes it is one piece, and nope, it's not attached to the gauge overlay. (the 6LE bezel attaches to the gauge overlay) Just pop it out real quick to check it out. It's simple and won't mess anything up. I'm sure you can easily find a Camaro guy who'd want to trade. :nod:

What kind of machine makes these faces? I've been trying to find a way to make a face for a set of 86 Monte gauges. Factory these are not lit through the face but reflected from the back. Was thinking I would use an EL film behind it to illuminate it from behind. Whats it take to make a custom set? Each gauge face is a separate piece, but could be made as one & cut out.

I have the basic template for most 3rd gens created but don't have all the subtle details & differences between years. It should be easy to just alter the template I have already to match what you need. Also everything you mentioned is possible.

Im pretty sure the demand for roof panels is for all that adhesion bubbling crap that plagues us hardtops, My clear coat is bubbling like a mofo and from what I've read you have to replace the whole top because the chemicals from the adhesion have seeped through and contaminated it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I may have to buy a replacement panel in the near future.

Yes, all the holes have been cut for install. It is literally peel your old one off and stick this one on.

I still want to see a Sunset Orange gauge overlay in the finished product. I've only ever seen a digital version. I want an orange with a gradient, but from the looks of it, I might need to go with a Hugger Orange with gradient so it matches the SOM. I'm not sure.

Part of it depends on how long the proofing process takes, I have had people approve the first one & I have also had people get into the 20's..... :bang: lol. Its usually about 3-4 weeks all together but it varies some. (flame suite on)

No, sorry. The recalibration is seperate.

Nope, I make them locally.... they just take longer to make sometimes since I'm not stocking all the colors anymore. I can get almost any color, it just might take a few weeks. :)

Who do I talk to about a custom one. There is one you did already that I like, I want color change and different logos. BTW I have the logos already,though I forget what the format was.

The same as I have on my silver ones. I would like to get red needles too. I should mention I would need KMs/Hr for Canada. Not sure if you have done that yet.

Perhaps marketing ploy... highly probable :secret: but either way having a custom overlay takes your car to that extra level of coolness!

Mark should just keep the machines and advertise himself on all sorts of car forums in sure this type of product Appeals to all sorts off car enthusiasts. Since he can make any type of vehicle over lay

I know mine have been sent to production, but I haven't heard if they've been made yet. Anyone have an idea how long it takes to go from production to being shipped?

I do have to add that Jeff at 6LE has been amazing to deal with since I made my purchase. Every time I email him, he responds very quickly with a answer. Just want to throw that out there.

I'm pretty sure all other proofs are up to date with the exception of a few revisions that I'm still working on.

6LE customer service is TOP NOTCH!! I had a bit of bubbling on my overlay which was part of a small bad batch before they were doing them in house. Just got my replacement last week, no problem at all, and it looks even better than the original. Can't wait to get it installed! Thanks guys!!
