Road Racing - A&A Corvette autocross video. 4/14-15/2012.

It's been awhile since my last autocross. Saturday was a very technical course. Had many transitions. Also had three 3rd. gear section. I think I was 3rd. overall out of 70 cars.

Sunday I raced with the Porsche club. I didn't get a chance to race, but I did a few practice laps in the morning. My time held up all day. 1st. overall out of 105 cars. This course was all sweepers. At the end of the video, I have a homecoming with my dog "Viggo" as he was in the hospital for a few days.

Wow... 2 very different courses! Hard to believe only 7 sec diff in run times... the first course seemed to take forever. Lots going on, and very busy. The second seemed to go by in a flash! Nicely done!

On Saturday I was in the 80's. Sunday was right at 73mph.

I didn't even pay attention to the lap times between the two days. Now that you mention it, I would have thought Saturday was twice as long.

Very smooth and consistent. Well done.

Hopefully you take this as constructive criticism. Bring it in tight on every cone. the average apex in the first video was very late. start turning in before your door is past the cone. Sooner than that if you can.

I loved autocross. I still do it every now and then. It was the best thing I could have done before I got addicted to the road course.


on a side note, This forum is very very quiet. :) We all know why, but the corvettes do a great job of turning too!
