Cadillac CTS-V - How do you get the seat to just stay the hell still?

V1. I would love it if the seat never moved until I reach down and move it. So how do I shut this feature off? The memory seat I assume, goes into "exit" mode when you turn the car off? Just want it to stay in one spot like a normal automobile.

I think it's in the personalization menu on the nav unit.

Normal automobile? Must be a pretty cheap vehicle if it doesnt have a memory seat option. But you can turn this off in the headunit.

Buncha noobs.
You could ALSO just set the exit position to be the same as your normal position.
I don't mind it. I've got a lil extra girth around the waist (aka spare tire) & I like the space getting in/out. I'm definitely not all up in the steering wheel grandma style, but also, until the seat moves into my position, I can't easily get the clutch pedal fully depressed to start it.

i knew you can turn the auto exit on and off, but how do you set where the exit position is? is it in the DIC too (yes i am a noob)? i'm only 5'3, so it takes forever to wait for the seat to move up before i can reach the clutch to start the car. i like it though because it crushes anyone who tries to drive my car.

Set the seat where you want it to be on "exit" and hold the other seat memory button, easy exit memory button above the 1 & 2 buttons, until it beeps twice. You can set two exit positions one for each driver settings driver 1 or driver 2.

Do you guys not have owners manuals for your cars?

Curious how much added strain this function causes, and how much it affects the longevity of the components. x2 for the mirror reverse feature. Now if there is a simple way to completely remove the lumbar support I would be interested....

From Caddy's website. I think in the GM Owner's Center they have them for '05 and '04 as well.

Yes I have the owners manual and it instructs:with key on engine off select driver 1 then press the tune/sel knob once to enter the dic. I have done this up Bunch of times and nothings comes up. I also tried programming the exit position and it still F*$#¥ing moves. Im about to buy some sparco seats and tear the stockers the flock out.
