Default New to LS1 Tech 1976 Trans Am

I am an active member on several other sites, TAC, 78TA.com, and pro-touring.com. My name is Ryan and I am the owner of a 1976 Trans Am. The only real flaw with my car is that it has created an enormous hole right in the middle of my wallet... I have owned the car for about 7 years. I bought it when I was a Junior in High School and have been working on it ever since. I am finally about ready to call it finished enough to take it out and get it on the road. I will post a few pictures of what I started with and where I am now. I have been toying with the idea of puttin an LS engine in my car so I thought that I would come over here and see what others were doing. Here is my build.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Ryan

Welcome. Nice build. Obviously I'm biased.

I love the power from the Pontiac engine, but would like the mileage/consistancy that the LS engines can produce.

+1,000 for the LS swap. I'm going to build an LS '77 TA before I die.

I'd love to have one like that! I was thinking a '78 and I'd go with gold rims. I wouldn't think twice of doing a 5.7 or 6.0 lsx swap in that
