I would like to get a LM7 complete motor....run it NA for 1 yr so i get it all setup and pull it the following yr...bore it. toss in forged pistons/rods, new rings, bearings, etc.

Should i bother with the LM7 or stick LQ4/9?? I plan to have a turbo on it...will be running it NA for 1yr with a aftermarket cam, fast - ls6 intake, bigger valves, thin head gaskets.

has anyone used LT1 f body accessories with a 5.3...?? I am trying to buy as few parts as possible. Would like to re use all that i can..

I am getting:

5.3 LS
LS k member
LS steering shaft, linkage, etc
ls6 intake
f body oil pan
30lb red tops (have already)
255 walbro (have already)
harness/computer
arketsmall cam/springs/pushrods/etc
Bellhousing, Front Plate, and Input Shaft

run it NA for a yr, get it dialed in somewhat. Than pull it the following yr for forged pistons, ARP everywhere.

what else will i need...?

For the T56, yes.

Make sure you check the end-play of the Mainshaft and Countershaft when you swap them pieces out.

Im doing this currently. Very easy if you do it all right. To sum it up, build the whole thing on the k member like youre sticking an ls1 into an ls1 car (you know, using the right parts, ie: all fbody accesories, ls1 k member, fbody oil pan and ect) get the wiring figured out, and stick her in lol
