need some tech help..
whats up guys.. lookin for a little help with the head/cam build im in the process of doing. i currently am using my stock 40,000 mile bottom end(ls1) and i'm going to go with tsp's stage 2.5 ls6 heads. the heads arent getting milled at all so i was wondering if i am right to think i can use the stock push rod length (7.400) or do i need something different? my next question is i have a cam spec'd out at 231/239 113+4 with .617/.623, but im not sure on what lobes to use. i want something thats easy on the valvetrain (.650 springs) but that i wont lose performance with. i was thinking x-er lobes but not sure.

yea i talked to tsp.. i told them the specs i want the cam to be but they told me to pick a lobe... at that point i didnt even know what they were talking about but now ive been doing a little research. i still am unsure of what lobe i want to go with like i stated i want a good mix of reliability and power.

Id go with the 238 LXL lobe on the exh., it has an agressive opening ramp rate(like LSL lobes), but soft closing ramp rate (like XE lobes), and it'll cut down on valvetrain noise.
BTW, Comp Cams already has has a LSR cam with the same specs you listed above.
