I have always thought about getting a bike for some trail rides.

yeah, it's not supposed to be that far under the seat, got home and realized it was supposed to have an extension on it to bring it out a bit farther... but it was mounted on my seat post at the bottom.

sad part is, that's not even my bike, it's my Dads..lol...and it was expensive as hell..

well in my defense, the rear wheel came loose and popped out of the drops on one side cause it to lock up......

Lake Grapevine Northshore.... I have our whole ride shot from two GoPros....working on adding both of the camera footage together and making one vid.... my camera did no stay there once I noticed that my shorts were in the way about 70% of the time

Not going to lie glad you aren't hurt but I originally opened this thinking it was some random clip of like a cougar jump attacking some random mountain biker. Like the glider that had the hawk run into him.

Youd be suprised how exspensive mountain bikes can get. One of the guys I ride with just bought a $11,500 bike this past weekend and Im getting ready to drop $2400 on on this coming weekend. My current bike is getting sold.

And yeah dude that sucks, I hate falling go like no mph. Of course in the end its better than wrecking while hauling ass. I dont have video of it but I was railing around a berm after a short downhill here last weekend and hit a small rock formation wrong. Endoed so hard it knocked my bars out of alignment. I limped out and went home lol.

Here is my setup. 2010 Rockhopper. I recently switched to eggbeaters and clip in's and have had a few nasty falls. Still practicing :D

yes, that's correct... although we don't pay MSRP for our KHS's or Santa Cruz's as a good friend is a dealer for those.....

and as far as the camera placement, I was just seeing how that view would work, and seeing if it would be better to see the trail head and the bike and rider movements and workings

Wife just got me a Contour Roam HD camera for by bday and I'm going to be trying it out with my bike mount this weekend. I'll skip the balls mount - LOL.
