Default 01-02 headers on a 00???

i just purchased a set of pacesetter 01-02 headers and y-pipe off of another user...they came with the paper gaskets, and O2 simulators, but what do i need as far as putting them on my 2000...i plan on just getting rid of e.g.r. and a.i.r...thanks

Ditch the paper gaskets and either reuse the stock GM steel gaskets or buy new GM steel gaskets. You will need some type of PCM edit to get rid of the EGR and AIR codes you will set. If you are going to do that, you might as well turn off the rear O2 codes and sell the O2 sims. Other options, but not necessary would be some Stage 8 header bolts, The stockers will work but I use the stage 8s without the locks for the looks. (flame suit on)

Couldnt have put it better myself.

I had my AIR, EGR, and Rear o2s edited out--and sold my sims
Purchased the Stage 8's, laughed at the "locks" and just used the shiny bolts
Oh and yes, buy new gaskets, they are maybe $20 for the pair.

ls1speed.com sells the gaskets. I would change the plugs while your in there too. Maybe wires if your car has higher mileage.
