Any mods? If you are bone stock they may hook if the track is good. Otherwise pull around the burnout box, spin the tires to clean them off. Lower pressure to around 22-25 psi. Roll into throttle instead of just stabbing the throttle.

I've got 275/40r17 Conti Extreme Contacts, they don't hook good at the track. Like zracer said, pull around the water and do a dry hop to clean the tires. I've got as good as 2.004 60' in the summer when the track is hot. Couple weeks ago at the track after a morning with frost, track surface was still cold at noon with 65 deg air 2.15-2.2x 60's. You have to come out of the hole at like idle and feed in the throttle as much as you can without spinning. It's a shit way to race.
