Pictures, year etc would help
They sell conversion lifters you will probably have to use a cam button since you cant retain it in the block like they do in the newer blocks

Still have not had the time to post pictures but I have fixed the issue. Pre-roller blocks, lt1-lt4, vortecs have different cam sprockets on the timing set

The factory roller cams have a smaller bolt pattern. You need an 87-Up timing set. You also need retro fit lifters ($450+)
I have everything you need if you want to make the swap, pm me

You also need a place to put the retainer plate!!! Not going to work the older blocks.

Later blocks use a retainer plate that goes between the cam and the timing gear to keep the cam from moving front to rear.

With out the retainer plate your cam will be pushed back in the block to far.

I kinda hate text becauce of the lack of emotion but thanks really for all your help and knowledge with this build.
I have found a great and cheap workaround for the issue. So you anyone can install a factory roller in a nonroller block. I have to post so others will know
