Appearance & Detailing - My different take on blackbird stripes and wingtips - not photoshop, real!

I recently repainted my hood (did it myself, wasn't prepared for how big of a project that would be...) and I had these stripes made by a local vinyl guy--pretty pleased with the results. You'll notice I filled in the nostril gap present on stock hoods; this basically made FourthCircle blackbird stripes a no-go, as they are designed to mate with that gap. As for the wingtips, I didn't like how the FourthCircle wingtip's pinstripe followed the curve of the spoiler...seemed like it should be straight instead.

And I KNOW, the passenger headlight gap is messed up...I was too impatient for pics before fixing it. Tweaking headlights is a b*tch.

I also had some parts in the engine bay chrome powder-coated (so basically everything forward of the airbox looks great, as I've paid almost zero attention to the rest of the bay :disgust:) I also polished my hood struts, then used some special clear coat from Eastwood to keep them from rusting...clear is supposed to be solely for polished metal.

The one thing I like about Camaros(Z28 and SS). The black sail panel. I'd change that if I had a Trans Am or Corvette.

Not very noticeable ( as in it doesn't really stand out), but looks good.

Not diggin' the rounded edge under the sail panel but otherwise looks ok.

well done...love the blackbird stripes and i'm not usually a fan of those.

:drool: gawddd, that looks badass, you've done a few of the things I'm working on getting done, car looks identical to mine minus the aftermarket rims I have and the stripes you put on. I'll be glad when mine comes out of the shop being painted....:drive:

theres someone in my area that has an lt1 trans am with the top of the spoiler painted black. it doesnt look bad at all idk why people dont do it

Thanks, and truth be told I tried myself to modify FourthCircle's standard stripes first...I failed horribly to get all the bubbles out and ended up taking it to a professional.

Love the hood. Finishing it into the bumper makes it look like it has fangs. Never liked the spoiler stripes.

I like it all a lot, except for the rear - not bad but just not sure about it. Very nice job under the hood.
