Default Chased down an srt8 today...

leaving work and a coworker has a 2009 srt8 challenger. we pull up to a light with me behind him. i'm hoping he's going to get it but, not sure as he's kind of a laid back guy. the light goes green and he slowly pulls away to about 20mph and then stabs it...kinda caught me by surprise as i thought he wasn't going to go. he was about 2 cars out when i nailed it and stopped his pull. i started closing the gap to about a car length at about 100 and was getting ready to change lanes and go around him when he hit the brakes. pulled up along side him and he said i wasn't going to catch him anyway...lol. i told him i was reeling him in and was about to go around him when he hit the brakes. he had to turn off so, i'll talk to him some more about it on monday. i thought the old LT1 ran pretty darn good...i was pleasantly surprised.can't wait for a rematch cause the dyno tune and nitrous are getting hooked up in the next couple weeks..then i can really surprise him...

Doesn't surprise me. When I ran a SRT8 300 it was pretty much a joke, even with me on horrible tires.

Jury is still out on if a 392 could pull a basically stock Mach 1 at the track.

And yea, you are right. I know not to waste gas now on them.

L O L! Jury, what ******' jury? You're being judged by your peers here, not handpicked ones . Stock Mach is dead bait for a 392, obviously. Radials, geared and breathing? Might be a different case

09 SRT8 Challengers are pretty slow compared to the 2012==392==SRT8. Night and day difference. Believe it! Get used to it!
Good Kill OP !!

Hey Stoppy any reason why you got NGK TR6's listed as a mod in your sig? I can think of a reason though...and you should know that they aren't a good plug for that. LOL

so OP, you were two cars behind, while he was floored and your LT and rockered LT1 just caught him and was about to pass him at 100? That seems awfully sketchy. Considering your car makes, 250whp? And making up a gap like that especially when you already moving, your car would have to be considerably faster than his which considering your mods doesn't seem the least bit accurate.
