Stereo & Electronics - Speaker fit question....

will a front monsoon door speaker from a 2002 TA fit my 2002 SS, also with a monsoon system. I am assuming it will, but like I have always been told, when you assume, you make an ass out of u & me. :D

The woofer cone will fit, but you will have no easy place to mount the tweeter in the Camaro. You can rig something up, but the main difference is the Firebirds have a little mounting pod for the tweeter to sit in that points upward, while the Camaros have a co-axial mount for the tweeter, so it actually sits inside the woofer cone. I've never actually looked at original monsoon fronts from a a Camaro, so maybe there is some re-usable clips or something, but I don't think so.

If you want to use stock monsoon components, it's better/easier not to mix camaro/firebird speakers. CDT makes a nice convertible set that works either configuration.

Thanks...I typically like to hear the exhaust better anyways, but the door speaker sounds terrible when I do have the radio on.
