possibly getting rid of the ss Hi guys, iam thinking of selling my 06 impala ss. I love the car to death but i read the transmission thread the other day and it scared the **** out of me. My car has 88000 miles and she still runs like a champ, i would hate to have to pay for a new tranny though. I put it for 13000 on craigslist yesterday and already have 2 interested buyers, if i do sell it i would like your guys input on a good replacement.

It looks like im going to sell my impala ss and get an 04 gto. I have read many conzumer reviews and it seems to be pretty reliable and offer better performance than our vehicles

Hey now .. you don't have to take such low blows at the SS imp.. it ain't it's fault GM half a$$ed its production.. 
that's where after market everything helps lol.. I personally would like to step up in a few years though myself.. either a G8.. or maybe a TA.. one day.

If someone will give you anything close to $13k for a 2006 with 88k miles, TAKE IT.
We paid that much for our 2006 three years ago with 30k miles, and if you look Craigslist/eBay, you'll see that most sell in the $9000-$10,000 range with those miles.
