I'm replacing the hood, fenders and front bumper cover. I have the hood off and have taken all of the bolts and retainers off of the bumper cover and am looking at those bolts that hold the fender to the bumper cover, looks like a PITA lol. My question, Would it be easier to just take the bumper cover and fenders off as one piece or take them off one at a time?

I guess if no one has had any experience with this I will get started then.

a long extension, a swivel, and some light and they are pretty easy to get back off/on actually, i wouldnt try to take them off all at once, the way the fenders slip over the top it would probably be a PITA but its worth a try if you want

take the bumper off first, the bumper will not be able to hold the wieght of the fenders if you were to take it off as one piece. it is a pain in the rear to reach the bolts that hold bumper to fender, small arms are best for the job:)

just got everything off, not too bad. How can I tell if my bumper cover is GM or aftermarket?

Look for the part number on the inside of the bumper. All oem bumper will have a part number starting with GM and followed by numbers. Aftermarket will not have a GM part number. Hope that helps.

Actually the one I removed fit real good and I believe that I was told by the body shop that put it on to be an aftermarket. This is why my question as to where the part # is located.
