Painted Pacers with Wrap

Painted Pacers with Wrap A full day for me.
Started off with drive shaft removal after dropping exhaust the day before to replace U-joints. Job completed and moved on to finish up one header.
The old Ceramic Hookers have about had it.
I wanted something a little more original.
Paint was completed over a two week period when I had time and to allow time for drying between coats. I am actually still sanding the manufactures finish before I lay the primer on the second header.
The wrap was a little time consuming ~ 2.5 hrs. Took my time while watching a ball game on TV. I think it came out well. Zip ties hold it together until I can make a run to HD or Lowes to purchase some hose clamps.
Process to cure paint will be on car. The start and idle sequence VHT suggest will be used.

Primed - VHT Flame Proof
Coated - VHT Flame Proof
Wrapped - DEI Titanium 50ft 2"

I know I'm about to get flamed off the planet, but I've seriously considered wrapping my TSP stainless headers. The heat they generate is insane. I haven't melted anything yet, but I'd like it to be a bit cooler under the hood, and I detest coating.
Just curious if the stainless will crack.
scj is right on the money. the stainless zip ties are a better option. Just be SURE to file down the end after you cut them. They're like razors if not.

I actually have the stainless ties you guys are referring to.
The four primary tubes have the stainless ties about half way down the header. I then wrapped from the collector upward. I used zip ties at this point because I am on the fence on how I wanted to finish them. Either with the stainless ties or the hose clamps. Hell I may use both. I've seen posts about the stainless ties coming loose, or failing overtime and breaking. For the ties I put on the header, I cinched them down as best I could and yet they still move.
The stainless ties have a cleaner look without a doubt. My plan if I was to purchase the hose clamps was to turn them so that the adjustment screws are not shown.
I am anxious to see how significant the temperature changes in the engine bay will be.
I am also looking forward to the reduction in noise that the wrap absorbs.

I just did the EXACT same thing to my headers. Same paint, same wrap. I too do not like the SS zip ties as I've had them come loose over time. I've got many SS hose clamps holding everything together and there is NO way they'll ever come loose. They are larger which some might find ugly but I'm more about form following function.
