This is going to be a strange request but here goes.
Looking for a reliable fast tuned Ls1 with A4, appearance not important but no junkyard stuff. If keeping your fancy wheels or stereo will get the price down, I have wheels/tires for both fbody/c5 that I can bring with me. Looking for cheap here because I am going to run the tires off this thing like I did my last one.
Must be a guaranteed 12.9 or better 1/4 mile, deeper the better, so I need to see a timeslip or dyno sheet before I buy. This isn't a tough goal, my 98 stock with stall and mailorder tune comes very near this.
Built+tuned Ls1's can hit 30MPG routinely, so that's what I am looking for. If you've really built it or are using a carb and MPG is way down, probably not interested.
Prefer A4 since it's a DD and I can also leverage a stall to help track ET, and I prefer A4 for comfort reasons.
Should have A/C, no cats needed (no smog check in my county), prefer stainless exhaust for longevity but I don't care what it sounds like, just so it doesn't wake the neighbors. I kinda prefer stock exhaust since it's stainless from the factory (my '98 exhaust is still factory exhaust (hollowed cats tho)).
Looking to keep FBODY price under $10k, hopefully around $8k range like others I've seen sell here.
C5 maybe little over 10k depending on condition etc.
I have cash in hand.
Again, this will be my DD to replace my current 98Z that has (not a typo) 281,000 miles on it and still running strong, but struggling to get into the 12's.
