Racer's Lounge - A bit depressing, but I need ideas.

The situation:
So I'm 21 and my uncle/mentor that taught me everything I know and kept me in this hobby when I wanted to get out of it has Stage 4(i think) bone marrow cancer, so it doesn't look good, I will spare the rest. lol
Anyway, I would like to commemorate him, because he has been a major part of my life and what not, and I would like to use my car someone(for obvious reasons)
-I'm not really into like flashy commemorations on the back glass and things like that, I would like something more subtle.
-I'm thinking like a plaque in the engine bay or something of that nature, yay or nay? (suggestions welcome)

Chevy guy? Get an engraved brick at the vette museum.
I'm really sorry to hear about your uncle. Why not an engraved dashboard plate, or something to that effect?

The dashboard plate sounds good, I think I'm set on some sort of metal plaque/plate.
I just don't know where to put it.

Have it matted in to the hatch somewhere. Just be careful, that stuff tends to be really tacky, no matter how well meaning it is.

You could do some customized fuel rail covers, or do something on the intake (powdercoat + plaque). Possibly a custom plate for the cylinder heads.

This! No matter the meaning or the placement it always looks tacky. :bang:
Sorry to hear about your uncle though. I'm just trying to be truthful.

Maybe incorporate his initials small and subtly into something like a pinstripe, hockeystick, manta, GS, SS stripes over the hood, ect.

Does anyone remember the myth about a hidden symbol under the rear hatch carpet of the C4 Vette? I was thinking something like that?

Cylinder head plate engraved with what you want on it. Subtle, not to flashy, but easily noticeable.

Do you have headers? You could do a tag similar to whats on SLP, hooker headers

I like this. Something like a GMMG badge with his initials in the middle.

You could always get a custom painted air lid that would be nice as long as the colors aren't to "flashy". IMO I feel that something that is to small or hard to notice kinda takes away from people seeing it and that is the point if it to begin with correct?
