I used heat to insert a metal pipe that's the same outside diameter as the other pipes inside diameter... Now I can't get them apart. I tried heat again and it doesn't work

Yeah its inserted 3" in... It went in pretty easy with heat I just pecked it one time with a hammer and it went right in.... I've been beating on it with a hammer to no avail. Going to try a bar through the pipe and hit the inner pipe.and see if that gets it out.

And what were dealing with here is an 8.8 housing with ten bolt tubes... One side is longer than the other from what i found out :(

Couple thoughts:

May try heating the outer housing and then hit the inner tube a litte away from the outer tube with a CO2 extinguisher May shrink the inner tube faster and allow you to pull the other tube out.

Other option might be to pack the inner tube with dry ice and heat the outer housing.

Is cutting off the end of the pipe an option, you can then a slice/s in the inner pipe and peel it out. Or the slice may be enough to shrink up the od allowing it to come out. This is mild steel? If the pipe yuo inserted is stainlees steel it may have galled into the other.

I got it out by chaining each end to 2 trees and using boomers to pull it tight then hitting the tubes to jar it. And more heat
