I got a buddy that does a lot of custom stereo work, he made one for his girlfriends camaro. They can be done, but the depth problem kinda starts getting to be more of a factor

The ones from DoubleDMods has a mounting depth of 8". So I'm sure it could be done with 7.5". I don't know a whole lot about fabricating sub boxes so I don't know what all would have to be done and what not.

Why won't your sub fit

Hell yeah I/we still want the measurements..if you don't mind...lol.

The area is not very deep, and if you have a deep sub like my Alpine Type R or whatever he had, then you might not be able to fit as he said.

What is the depth of your sub Justin 2000 z28

Justin_2000z28

it wasnt the depth, it was the diameter of the sub the rim was to big and it wouldn't mount. and for the measurements when we finish the box and install it ill post them because i want to make sure that it fits correctly

Here's a picture of mine. It could be cut out to a 12" inclosure, but it changes mounting specs some

No. I shifted the amp around on top of the box. It doesn't fit perfectly flush with the amp on top of it, I'm still gonna do a little moving around to see what I can get done. But it's so slight. The box itself fits fine, it's all the amp.

does the amp interfere with the t-top when they are in the rack?

You can use a speaker ring on top of the box (as a "spacing washer") if the magnet hits the back of it..

does the amp interfere with the t-top when they are in the rack?

If I lightly pull the t-tops away from the amp like in picture #1, there's about 1/2" of space. The t-top leans on the amp very lightly.

I bought these 2" diameter 1/8" thick soft rubber pads from Home Depot...the kind that you would put on the bottom of a large glass table top so it can rest on a metal or wood frame.

I put 4 of them in the area where the t-tops touch. Its a nice soft cushion for the t-top to rest on. Its perfect.

Here's my 12" in a stealth box. I got it from Kee a couple years ago. Fit is really good and it sounds fine. Debating getting some polyfill for it though. Not sure if it would help it any. That's besides a different sub and a better amp.....
