I'm curious as to everyone's dream F-body, if you have such a thing (some people dream bigger lol).

Mine is a bone stock NBM '02 SS A4 fully loaded with next to nothing miles or a bone stock black WS6 A4 fully loaded with next to nothing miles.

Such a dreamer I am, I know! :jest:

I have 2:
-1998-2002 Camaro, white or black, T-tops, slightly reworked interior (nicer looking hvac controls, symmetrical bezel), dual clutch driven m90's, 672rwhp, magnetic ride control, natural gas capable. And M6.

-Rafedials car but with good DD suspension, noise dampening, G8 interior swap (except for the cluster. I'd prefer a cluster more resemblant of the Escalaldes, but reading up to 200mph, increasing by 10mph per mark. SRT8 style numbers and marks, numbers on the inside. perhaps have the speedo and tach opposite of each other, like the g8). c5 seats with a orange/black color scheme, have the interior in a dark gray/black color scheme, and a decent sound system as well. As for the engine... 6.5 Converted to 2 stroke, 18:1 compression, 25psi, 4000rpm. It'd probably need a 1.5:1 gear before the torque converter, and an extremely low (like 2.00) rear gear. I'd expect no less than 550rwhp.

Big tires on both. s60's as well. That is all.

Already own it. While I miss our 2002 Y2Y NBM Camaro SS that came with the 345hp package (CME and Blackwing lid) new and was our test bed for cam, heads/cam, heads/cam/nitrous, and the ojr original home of our LSX stroker... There is just something a bit more sinister about the Firehawk we replaced her with when she was totalled.

BPM Formula. Pretty standard interior with the exception of upgraded seats and alcantara accents...leather of course. M6, LS3 with a modest turbo (lots of torque/NO lag/linear power delivery) around 600rwhp. Magnetic ride control, 18in FM10's in metallic dark gray, massive brakes, etc. Basically a Formula that does everything an exotic does with a great ride and comfort.

I want to keep my black 99 TA and but a 98-02 formula roller in red or blue and swap everything in from my car into the roller. After that is done I can build the black one again. This time it would be a meth injected twin turbo 454. something to get me over 1000 rwhp and everything else to support it, and a raptor hood. I would also like a cyber grey 68 camaro with a ls7 and slightly modernized interior and upgraded suspension. I know thats 3, but my TA would be the dream car.

I tried building my dream f-body (black '02 SS, 6 speed, t-tops), but realized the money was better spent elsewhere. Had I actually seen the project through, it would have had a suspension geared towards the twisties (already done minus a Watts link that I still need to sell), a badass rear (I had a Strange 12-bolt instead that whined like a bitch and leaked like one too), a TR-6060 (had a built T-56 instead), a decent fuel system (done), a decent stereo system (done) and a 427+ cubic inch engine under the hood (I was close to starting on that one). Actually, the money that would have gone into the motor I wanted was spent as the down payment on the Viper that currently occupies the empty spot in my garage left by my Camaro. That engine was going to be :pimp:

Time moves on and priorities change, though. I ended up driving too many C6 Vettes that really lured me away from the F-body scene...never envisioned ending up where I currently am though.

#2 would be this, 1970 Z28/RS Camaro, with the LT1 350, 4 speed manual, split bumpers . . .

http://www.my-classic-car-trader.com/car_ads/uploadedimages/5285345image215538.jpg

#3 would be the 1989 Turbo Trans Am . . . .
Buick turbo v6, it was the fastest thing you could buy in 1989 short of Lambo or Ferrari.
http://www.streetlegaltv.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/10/files/2011/03/Trans-Am-Turbo.jpg

#4 would be a 1999 Hugger Orange Camaro SS. Since the 4th gen really didn't include any special edition cars other than the Berger cars(which IMO were not production cars), this special paint version was about as best as it got for the 4th gen IMO.

Now if we were talking a "moderfied" Camaro, this would be my choice. I just love a 3rd gen done up just right with a big honking motor that will run a low 9/high 8 second quarter mile. Also that copper paint on this particular car is just stunning, looks awesome and rather period correct IMO.

I looked into building one a few years back. The amount of work required just to get that $15K engine to fit is excessive. If you can do your own fabrication work, the it is manageable. Otherwise, you're looking at over $30K to stuff a 572 under the hood.

I seriously wanted to do this though, and I may at a later point in life. Right now, finances dictate that I avoid this for at least another 10 years (barring a winning lottery ticket).

Ok, so you guys saying you would want a bone stock ws6/SS/whatever, are ya'll really looking at that as a dream car? I mean, if money was NO issue, you would rather have a stock car than one that has been built exactly to every specification that you could possibly want? I mean, I love these cars as much as the next guy, but shit, there is a LOT of room for improvement. The only "stock" 4th gens I would consider a "dream car" would be a zl1, berger phase 3, Dick Harrell car, etc, not a standard stock 4th gen. Maybe I could see wanting an all original 67 camaro, 69 z28 or something else very rare, but really? A stock 4th gen?

Silver or SOM 2002 T/A WS6 with an m6. Low miles and tons of power to embarass anyone on the street and run sick times at the track.

Less realistic would be one of the stage 3 ZL1s from 01 or 02, whenever it was that they came out.

Low Mile 2002 Black on Ebony WS6 Trans Am, WSQ Hood, Front splitter, 18" Deep Dish Torque Thrust 2 wheels chrome with the spokes powder-coated black 275 fronts, 315s or maybe 325s in the rear, Twin Screwed, Intercooled, Fully Forged LS3 with mild heads/cam/bolt-ons, Long-tubes and true duals all the way out the back with semi-quiet mufflers and electric cutouts in front of the mufflers, Build T56 with a nice clutch, semi-short shift, and a white cue ball shift knob with the gear mapping in black, interior all done in sound deadening, lowered 1.5 inches on really nice shocks(konis?) to maximize ride comfort(haha I know), mild suspension work to help it attempt to corner flat even at full weight, a nice sound system but nothing too crazy...no subs, stainless bird emblems front and rear, stainless trans am lettering on the sides, HID's in heads and fogs, and NO INTERIOR RATTLES OR CREAKS hahahaha

I think mine would make a decent platform for my dream F-body. It's a black on grey leather with a hardtop and 6 speed. For years it was my DD and I never could quite figure out if it was a drag car or an autocross car. I guess that's how it ended up with an S60/4.10 and Koni's. They're sort of on the extreme end of each, lol. Lately I've been thinking that my dream F-body would be purpose built for a cannonball race. The clutch/MC is good, and the S60 is problem free, but the engine/trans need work. I'm tired of my exhaust, the A/C doesn't work anymore, and it needs a little body work.

I'm thinking my dream build will get a TSP 408 short block, some good flowing heads, Voodoo cam, and I keep thinking that a Vic intake and 4bbl TB is what I want. No A/C, trans and oil cooler, roll bar, fuel cell, finish my duals, racing buckets, deep dish ZR1's out back with 315's, and a full set of gauges where the radio used to be. I'd also like everything UMI makes while we're at it too, lol. Maybe a flat black exterior?

I'm about to move to within a few miles of the Road Atlanta track, so I think I want to do that kind of racing. With time maybe I can make this dream happen. At least it's paid for... :eyes:

Black 1993 to 1997 Formula
t-tops with shades
6 speed AUTOMATIC or TH400 with a GV OD
Effecient lockup 32-3600 stall
4.33:1 locker S60 rear narrowed 3" per side with gun-drilled axles
LT1 style WS6 hood
TA high-rise spoiler
Red/black cloth interior
Around 550 rwhp (enough for easy tens...still daily driveable)
aftermarket block based 440" SBC, (4.185" bore x 4" stroke)
pair of many available awesome SBC heads....maybe SB2 versions
Custom sheetmetal intake (similar to LT1 intake) and 102mm TB
11.5:1 CR (No power adder of any kind)
HR cam with specs around 24x duration @ .050" and low .600's lift so it's easy on the springs
Distributorless ignition via Electromotive, or 24x system or other aftermarket system
1 7/8" stainless longtubes (possibly stepping to 2")
Relatively quiet 3" over the axle stainless true duals (Project Badass True Duals would be perfect)
Slightly lowered front on coil-overs front and rear
Upgraded hollow sway bars (24mm+ rear so it launches level)
Adjustable Chromoly TQ arm and TQ arm relocation
Adjustable LCA's with bushings instead of rod ends
Chromoly tubular K-member and front control arms
Mostly stock LT1 brakes with drilled rotors and good pads (because they stop just fine for me...I don't road race....and wheel fittment is better.)
Slight mini-tub
Undecided 5 spoke wheels....machined, but not polished finish.
17"x8.5" front with 245/45-17's and deep dish 17" x 12" rear & 335/30-17's (18s/19's look good, but I like the ride with some sidewall intact)
Spare 15"x3.5" & 15"x10-12" RaceStar or Weld RTS drag wheels/tires
Relocated Engine wire harness and fuel lines
Passenger airbag delete
Stock CD player with AUX input added (because I'd rarely listen to anything but the engine anyway)
Functional HVAC (perhaps with a custom aftermarket kit that eliminates the huge box at the firewall and fits behind the dash in all that room the airbag took up)
Perfect LT1 grid style taillights
Custom sunvisors that are worth a crap
Kenny Brown "double diamond" subframe connectors
Burkhart (spelling?) style front and rear Chromoly tubular bumper supports

That's all I can think of for now.....I'll probably edit this a few times. Forgot to mention......2 of them just alike. One to keep clean and one to daily drive rain or shine.....anywhere I wanted to go just like I do with my 97 SS.

Thanks, if this weren’t an FB thread I’d post more photos. The Caddy came with a lot of paper. Still has the equivalent to the p-o-p, a typed card in a clear pocket on the right kick panel. Original owner was a woman in Iowa, purchased in July of 1941. The interior is original and in pretty good shape. Complete original drivetrain with asbestos wrap on exhaust. Motor cranks over freely but I don’t plan to try to fire it up. According to the paper trail the mileage shown is correct, 59K.
