Some of us from melbourne are going to the track this friday seeing if anyone else is comming?

if the weather is nice, i'll probably be there. i wanna hit 11.7x with bone stock motor, ls1 intake, and stock tune. went 11.88 on a hot day with no time for the car to cool down, so it should be doable! I'm about to tune the car so I need to hurry up and get out there again lol

Yeah, the local LS guys in brevard that actually go to the track are on the Local Mustang board :)

so who all ended up going? I went and got a couple passes. Spun really bad twice, and hooked fairly well a couple times, but was still spinning. Considering the car was never able to cool down, I'm happy with it. Not bad for a bone stock long block/ls1 intake that put 320hp at the tires on a dynojet! If it was 60'ing like it should, and the weather was 20 degrees cooler, 11.70's should be easy

I need something that can hold 600rwhp and I hear good and bad about building up the 60, was thinking of going with the 80 when i had the money and they uses a diff crossmember if I'm not mistaken BUT that is a good deal :)

We've got a level 2 4l60 in my friends car. Made just over 500 on motor plus spray and he's got 20k on it with no issues yet. But definitely can't go wrong with a 4l80

i try and go every friday/funday sunday. Tomorrow they are having a "private" track day. it's $100 to run so there won't be a lot of cars. I'll be out there, still on the fence about running though!

didn't you say it had a 408 with some pretty worked heads on it? I'm guessing you haven't tuned it yet? That MPH seems extremely low for that motor and such a light car

It is tuned, the issue is I am running a nitto 555r that is only 245 wide (street tire)
I can not get to full throttle till 1/8 mile.

he put down about 410rwhp. He's on bone stock rear suspension with that small drag radial. He simply cant launch hard at all or it just blows the tires off.
