Its kind of a throw together motor. 2004 5.7 bottom end never been apart heads are unported243 s that I had 30thou. milled off eps. 234_246 cam Vic.Jr Holley 850. The car is 93 coupe with only the a/c missing. 373 gears. Drive it to the track run the crap out of and drive it about 20 miles back home.

Thanks.......now more converter and less weight. I really did not want to take anything out of the car but really like to see how fast it can go too.

Lol, and so the weight reduction begins, my RS with all crash bars, carpet and anything else not needed removed is 3150, if I was using a stang it would be 2600 or less, and no telling how much faster, not to mention it is a manual. Next build will be streetable but 90% track, a 240-280 z car. That way I can enjoy a light chassis all day.

I actually went that route on my 64 Special. I sold it in 2004 because is was no longer the fun street car that it once was.

That's kinda why I have not cut on mine yet. I like being able to drive it around on weekends and I also drive it to work at least once a week and that's 32 miles each way. At 5:30 in the morning its nice to be able to listen to the radio and not a hulled out car rattling down the highway

Mine is stopping JUST short of that...except for the doors. The doors will barely be able to stand up by themselves when I'm done.

Leave it like it is and I have a kinda fast street car. gut it and then its a slow race car..

Cut out the door braces remove front bumper support (replace it with exhaust tubeing) and trade out ur carpet pad for dynomat. Thats about 80pds which is almost a tenth! And its still a streetcar. My notch with a 6.0 will b weighing in at about 2800 with me in it and its still a streetcar with all seats. The cage is the only giveaway that its lethal! lol. did u go with coilovers n tubular a arms?

Stock a arms with strange adjustable struts. How hard is it to remove door braces.

Deal, i have been looking forward to that track. May even drag the TA out there, see how crappy it runs with a converter that is 2000 RPM to low and a 3.23 gear.

Really nice times very impressive............( 9.90's are my goal ) Of course it's in a pickup. I'm very close to the 10's now. 3660 lbs. with out me in it. Of course mine is still streetable but is pretty well gutted. And they frown on the Nitrous bottle sitting where the passenger seat used to be. LOL. Sending converter in to be reworked to 3600 or 4000 stall. Should make a change. Keep up the good work and it's just faster from here.
