so situation is i have my ls1 trans am, thats half way through turbo project due to the need to move out, i have an 87 k5 mud truck, also have stock 5.3L heads layin around with PRC valve springs.
would you all think its worth it to get a LQ9 long block for $500-900 take the 317 heads off and save for my turbo build, and put the 5.3L stock heads on the already 10.1 CR engine to get more CR out of it and throw in say like a torquer V2 with 112lsa for a nice idle for the K5 as a cheap/fun project engine that would be a good amount of power for it?
my first real build on an engine, figure try with this first, and i have half the stuff layin around, can sell the remaned 350 in k5 now to a friend who wants it to almost pay for the lq9, k5 dosnt have to be running right away
just thinkin since i got stuff layin around,have stock ls1 intake and other random bs from T/A layin around to help build
